I'm not on that system now... I will try to get the kernel config asap.

The kernel is not very thin because we need many drivers for video 
acquisition etc. I've setup the sis drivers for IDE, agp/dri, sound and 
framebuffer (a regular boot with normal BIOS and the append line in LILO 
shows the framebuffer without problems)

Should I use a kernel from your ftp?
