flash_rom with exclude range

The attachment didn't go through. I'm recieving errors when 
decompressing it. Is 5c9827677b8ae1b8d5098d073a6d6758 the correct md5sum? 
I'd be happy to look at it, though I'm just a lowly student.  

PS. Don't forget that you can commit on Sourceforge now :)
