The Geodes need special setup for each hardware implementation.
There's no real standard way to connect lots of things, and there are
many choices made by the hardware designer which needs to be
reflected in software.

So unless someone has added support for this particular
Geode+companion deisgn the fact that other designs with the same
chips work unfortunately does not matter.

We'd love to see even more supported though, we welcome everyone to
contribute. I thought I'd take a look at the soekris boards sometime,
but my time is scarce. :(
