Hi all,
Just a curious guy. I saw your FOSDEM video & hope that soon
we do have videos also of some fancy BIOS menu as well as mainstream
vendors like Gigabyte, Asrock & others. Just like D-Link uses busybox
in most of its routers. In fact that was one of the main things why I
bought it for it uses free software. Casual users like me would be
interested to vote not just with writing, but also with currency if
such motherboards do hit the mkt.
On Ron Minnich's talk http://linuxbios.org/Screenshots it would
be cool if at some point in the future there is also a transcript (not
just of the presentation) but also what was happening back & forth.
For e.g. in the beginning when Ron mentioned about the regulatory
driver from Intel somebody gave a comment there (possibly adding
something positive to the conversation) as well as at the very end
where the Q & A happened which was kinda hard to catch on. Also I'm
not a native speaker so that might be part of it.
Hope to see some more videos as & when the BIOS menu comes up,
maybe some small screencasts for people to share ideas or what
happens. It usually is the tweaking/modding community after the
serious guys who take it up to the next level. I would be blogging
about it in couple of tech. forums (India-based/focussed) just so
people can also take note of what's happening.
Enough babbling for now, Carry on the good work :)
