+HOSTCC = gcc
+HOSTCXX = g++
+HOSTCFLAGS := -I$(srck) -I$(objk)
+HOSTCXXFLAGS := -I$(srck) -I$(objk)

Can you move these to scripts/Build.settings, please?  Thats the
common repository for these sorts of things.  In fact, HOSTCC is
already there.
