This may be the entire problem.

As Carl-Daniel writes the Amic chips are not supported by flashrom at
the moment, and they do need special care.

I have also sent a question to PC Engines regarding flashrom support
on the 2c and 3c boards.

Please feel free to investigate supporting the Amic flash chip in the
meantime, if you want to. :)
