[coreboot] How to get started - new system?

Dear All,

I am looking to learn more about coreboot and start from somewhere.

Is there any netbook (Intel Atom based or other) or nettop (like Asus 
eePC Box or any other that can fit at the back of an LCD screen)
that You can advise; compatible with coreboot - tried and tested ?

I have a few VIA C7 based systems (

) not sure about their compatibility.
I haven't check the mainboard but i presume the BIOS is soldered.

Do you have any inputs and/or reference systems for thinclient 
applications ?
