about etherboot and mkelfImage

  I am try etherboot in my epia 5000 now. When I used mkelfImage in 
linuxbios, it reports

When I use the newest mkelfImage 2.5, mkelfImage said
  Internal error convert_magic 00000070 != a5a5a5a5

Any hint? By the way, what's the difference between mkelfImage and 
mkelfImage-1.6 in lb?
