Then the award util should fail sometime atleast. Also i have two 
boards and flash devices. Juggling them produces the same result.

done that. Erases the first time itself. But just to make sure I 
erased 4 times. Then write once verify - no good. so write 4 times, - 
still no good.

Checked a dump of the flashrom flashed data, for stuck bits or 
addresses. This does not seem to be the problem. The data is random.
Looks like a timing issue.
But to make sure I will try and trace the we.
