 If the serial console is a different size from the vga console, there are
 some problems with printing grub-style commandline messages.  Example: hit
 enter until the VGA cursor is on line 24.  Type 'asdf'.  The serial
 terminal will not display the proper "Error 27: Unrecognized command"
 until "Enter" is pressed a second time.
