I had an issue in the past where I was trying to re-create the Linux
Networx ebi image creating process. The etherboot developers were
helpful in making me successful, but what we learned was that the 2.6
kernel changed some where ( not sure where ) and that etherboot did not
like the said change. Again, I never nailed it down, because this only
effects old versions of etherboot. I can build any kernel source tree I
want, but then the question remains. Will flashrom work with a 2.4
kernel? If not, can a 2.4 kernel be booted, then a 2.6 kernel be booted
from the 2.4 kernel. This is a question I also plan to ask the
etherboot guys.

 Thanks,

 Joshua McDowell
