What do you mean exactly? Both VGA Option ROMs are from the vendor BIOS.
From our conversation in #coreboot [1], is the following correct?

1. It did *not* work with the VGA Option ROM extracted from the firmware
image file downloaded from the Lenovo Web site [2][3].

2. It did work with the VGA Option ROM extracted from the system running
the vendor BIOS [4].

Kyösti and Patrick suggested that the VGA Option ROM in the firmware
image does not contain the necessary IDs for the used graphics card and
the vendor BIOS adds these/patches at every boot.
