LinuxBIOS is a Free Software project, aimed at replacing the proprietary BIOS. You can find LinuxBIOS in many of today's computers. It's main purpose is to speed up the boot-process in servers, computing-clusters with many nodes and in small internet appliances, which can be produced in high quantities with no need to pay license fees for the BIOS.
